Pearl Abyss ID: Everything You Need to Know

Greetings, Adventurers.
During the August 24, 2022 (Wed) maintenance, your Black Desert account will be integrated with the Pearl Abyss ID account. Please read the guide below to learn everything you need to know so that you can proceed with the integration process.
Q. What is a Pearl Abyss ID account?
A Pearl Abyss account not only allows you to play Black Desert but will also include other games serviced by Pearl Abyss. As of now, the Pearl Abyss account system is implemented for Black Desert services in Korea, North America/Europe, and South America. Furthermore, the Pearl Abyss account system will also be expanded to include Pearl Abyss’s upcoming new titles, which include Crimson Desert, DokeV, PLAN 8, and more.
Q. How do I integrate my account with the Pearl Abyss ID account?
If you currently do not have a Black Desert North America/Europe, South America, or Korea account, or a Shadow Arena account, you can log in through the official website or game launcher with your existing login method to complete the Pearl Abyss ID integration process without any additional steps.
After logging in using your existing login method, the integration with the Pearl Abyss ID account is complete! You will now be able to use the official site and access the game.

Q. I logged in and received the message “Your Black Desert account will be integrated into your Pearl Abyss ID.”
If your Black Desert Southeast Asia’s account email was used to create an account for Black Desert North America/Europe, South America, or Korea account, or a Shadow Arena account, you may receive this message. If you do receive this message, verify your email to complete the Pearl Abyss ID account integration process.

② You will receive a pop-up message about the verification integration process.
③ Start the verification integration.
④ Click the “Verification” button. A verification code email will be sent to the email address you used to log in. Follow the steps listed in the email to complete the verification.
⑤ Your Pearl Abyss ID account will be created once the verification is complete!
⑥ When you log in again to the account, the account integration will start.
⑦ Once the account integration is complete, the login screen will appear again. Once you log back into the account, you will be able to access the official site and game.

Q. A screen asking for additional account information shows up.
For some Adventurers, additional information is needed to complete the Pearl Abyss ID account integration process. Input the password you will use for your account and your region of residence, then click “Create Pearl Abyss Account” to complete the integration.

For certain cases where an email was never connected to an existing Open ID, you will need to create a Pearl Abyss ID.
Input the email address and password you will use for your account, as well as the required personal information, then complete the email verification steps to create your Pearl Abyss ID account.

Q. What happens if I was using a One-time Password (OTP)?
Once you log in using your existing login method and complete the OTP authentication, you’ll move on to the next step in the account integration.
What if I can’t enter my OTP code?
If you lost your OTP code or cannot access your OTP, you can use a backup code to unlock your OTP and proceed with the account integration process. However, if you cannot find your backup code, please contact us via Support Center for further assistance.
What if there is an OTP for an existing Pearl Abyss ID that was using the same email address as my Black Desert account?
If the email address of your Southeast Asia Black Desert account and your existing Pearl Abyss ID are the same, and both are set up with an OTP, then the OTP of your existing Pearl Abyss ID will be automatically set as the one required for your new login.
Q. What happens if I was using PC Registration?
PC Registrations set up before the account integration will not be removed during the Pearl Abyss ID integration and will remain unchanged.
If you want to add or disable any PC Registrations, you can now do so more easily than before.

Q. What if my existing Pearl Abyss ID was converted to an inactive account?
If your Pearl Abyss ID for Black Desert North America/Europe, South America, Korea, or Shadow Arena was converted to an inactive account after a period of inactivity, you will need to first complete an email verification to remove the inactive status to complete the Pearl Abyss ID integration.
[!] Inactive accounts that are not logged in to for 4 years or more will be deleted! Please make sure to reactivate your account before it is deleted and complete your Pearl Abyss ID integration!

Q. I received an error during the ID integration. What should I do?
If you encounter an error during the ID integration process, please contact us via Support Center. We will do our best to resolve the issues as quickly as possible.

Q. How long do I have to complete the Pearl Abyss ID integration?
You’ll be able to complete the Pearl Abyss ID integration any time after the maintenance on August 24, 2022 (Wed). However, if an end date is decided for the integration period, we will do our best to give you prior notification.
Q. After the Pearl Abyss ID integration, the Black Desert Terms of Services asks me to agree to terms in the game launcher.
You’ll be asked to agree to the Black Desert Terms of Services when you log in to the game launcher for the first time after the Pearl Abyss ID integration. Once you click agree, you’ll be back to playing the game as usual and you won’t see the screen again when you re-open the game launcher.
Q. Does the Pearl Abyss ID also apply to Black Desert+ app?
The Pearl Abyss ID will also apply to Black Desert+, so you’ll need to log in to Black Desert+ using your Pearl Abyss ID after the account integration. When you log in for the first time after the Pearl Abyss ID integration, you will be logged out from all other devices. As a result, you’ll need to log in with your Pearl Abyss ID when you try to re-log in to Black Desert+.
