Hello!
Iβm NightingScale, a long-time player who has been completely captivated by the ocean content of Black Desert Online.
Iβm writing this post to bring attention to a strange issue that seems to have occurred after a recent patch:
Sea monsters β particularly Saltwater Crocodiles and the Margoria Pirate Fleet β appear to be significantly tankier than before.
---
Details:
I have checked the recent patch notes carefully and found no mention of any changes to the HP, DP, or stats of sea monsters.
However, the difference in actual gameplay is very noticeable: β A Saltwater Crocodile now takes 4 full rotations of cannon fire from a Valor-class ship with full blue gear and Margoria Sea Monster Damage crystals to be fully taken down.
β This was not the case before the update, when only 2β3 rotations were needed.
---
So the question is:
Have sea monsters been silently buffed in HP or defense?
Or has cannon damage from ships been nerfed without notice?
If this was an intended change, I believe the player base deserves transparency in patch notes, especially for content that requires such heavy investment in ships, gear, and time.
---
Requesting clarification from GMs or fellow sailors:
I genuinely love the naval aspect of BDO, and I feel itβs important that sea content remains balanced and clearly communicated. Sudden and undocumented changes like this can severely impact the experience for those of us who dedicate our time to the open seas.
Thank you for your attention!
