As the title is quite straightforward, my post concerns the crystal breaking mechanic and why I believe it is a very unpleasant and disruptive element of the game.

Reasons for Death While Grinding:

The following factors (and many others) can all lead to an unfortunate death and a crystal loss:

1. Technical Issues: Disconnections or severe lag spikes.

2. Performance Issues: Significant FPS drops.

3. Multitasking: Accidental clicks on a second monitor (e.g., while watching a stream).

4. Real-Life Distractions: Even a two-second distraction can often be enough.

5. New Content Exploration: Learning new monster spots and mechanics. Black Desert Online should encourage exploration, not punish it.

6. In-Game Errors: Game bugs, animation delays, desync, etc.

What are the gains for Pearl Abyss (PA) or the player from this mechanic?

For the player, this simply means more wasted time to recover lost crystals. In my experience, it often leads to rage-quitting and taking a break from the game.

For PA, I do not believe many players purchase the crystal recovery charges. Most of us buy costumes for their appearance, not for the death penalty reduction.

In conclusion, my suggestion is simple: Please spare us the frustration and make the small financial sacrifice, if one even exists, to remove this mechanic from the game entirely.
