Community Features

 

As Black Desert is an MMORPG, interaction with other players is inevitable. Black Desert features many different community features to help you play with others. 

Profile

The profile window allows you to check information about your character, and various other things. You can use the LB and RB buttons to cycle through the different menus. 


Character Info

This window allows you to see basic stats such as your AP,DP and resistances. It will also show you Karma, Contribution points and the level of enhancement chances you have on the character. By pressing the X/□ button in this window, you can leave a message for people who check out your profile. 

Titles
During your time in Black Desert you will earn various titles. You can select which title to display above your head in this window. 

Challenge
The challenge window shows rewards you can earn and collect through the game. You can cycle through the windows using the LT/L2 and RT/R2 buttons. You can collect your daily loyalty points from this menu. 

Life Skill
This window will display the levels of all of your life skills. The higher your level, the more bonuses you can get and the higher level of equipment you can use in life skills. 

Quest Settings
Here you can choose which quests will be displayed. 

Buff List
This menu will show active buffs that are account bound i.e Value Packs. 

Text Chat

You can chat with others in any of the chat channels. Server chat requires 1 energy to enter a message, but other channels have no cost.

View Button: Opens chat
LT L2: Shows the chat history
Y/△: Opens up chat macros
RT/R2: Allows you to whisper/reply to a person
D-pad/D-button left/right: Changes the chat channel
X/□: Opens up the keyboard
A/X: Send a message

You can turn off the chat window by adding the option to your ring menu. This will remove the chat window from the UI. It can still be accessed by pressing the view button on your controller
 

Party 

In order to create a party, you will need to be in the same place as your party members. You will then need to stow your weapons and hold LT/L2 to bring up the interaction menu. Select the Party Invite option. 

You can also invite Guild Members and Friends to your party through the Party Settings menu which can be added to your ring menu. Press X/□ and select the member you wish to invite. 

In order to leave a party, you will need to add and access the Party Settings menu. From there you can leave the party by pressing X/□ on your name on the list. If you are the party leader, you can kick out other party members by highlighting them and pressing Y/△. 

Loot  Settings

In the Party Settings menu, you can also choose which style of loot you would like your party to have. Choose the type which best suits your party. 

Free Looting: Free for all looting allows any players to pick up items.   Ordered Looting: Loot will be distributed in Order. So each player will get a turn to loot.  Random Looting: Loot is distributed randomly throughout the party.  Party Leader Acquisition: Party leader will take everything for themselves. 

Black Desert will begin in a moment.

Install the Black Desert Launcher if the game doesn't start.

Install the Black Desert Launcher to start the game.

The launcher will appear if it's installed.
If it doesn't, try to run your downloaded launcher.

1 Run Launcher to install the Black Desert launcher.

2 Start the game once installation is complete.
