We're informing you of the latest update applied after the scheduled maintenance on Jan 22 (Thu).
Today's update brings revamped campsite buff, option to show visor, new Rabam skills for Seraph, revamped Guild Bosses, updates to Krogdalo's Sanctuary, Primordial Black Stone for failstacks, and more.
We hope these help you embark on better adventures in game, Adventurers!  


New and Improvements
Character
Seraph
Rabam (Enhanced) skills have been added to Seraph. Specifically, when in Sacramentum, we've improved the lack of Forward Guard skills in PvE and focused on adding skills with Super Armor for PvP. Additionally, while in Purgatum, all Rabam skills will be changed into dash skills to boost mobility.

  • [Scholar] Flow: Repulsion - Fixed the issue where the falling animation continued to occur in certain situations while using the skill.
  • [Deadeye] Max Pain - Fixed the issue where using the skill to the left twice consecutively would recover Stamina for a certain period of time.
  • [Seraph] Oblique Rising Slash - Fixed the issue where the activation speed of the skill would slow down at higher skill levels.

Campsite Buff Renewal

We've made some improvements to the campsite buffs to make them even more convenient for our Adventurers. Some buffs have been streamlined, so now a single buff can provide the same effects as several previous ones combined. We've also removed buffs that weren't seeing much use. 
 Additionally, campsite buffs are now available for purchase as scrolls, and you can set them to auto-use with the Fairy's Continuous Care skill. To make things even smoother, we've increased the total number of items you can use per skill level with Continuous Care. 
 On top of that, we've expanded the item categories for the Continuous Care skill. Items that previously couldn't be applied together because they shared the same category can now be used at the same time. 
  • Added the buff effects of Skill & Experience to Body Enhancement.
    • The Skill & Experience buff has been removed, and any effects previously applied to characters have been reset.
    • The new effects added to the Body Enhancement buff will be applied only after re-obtaining the buff post-update.

Family Fame

The "Family Fame Fund," awarded based on your Combat, Life, and Special Fame, has typically been viewed as a small bonus you can save up and use when needed. However, with changes to content and character progression, its usefulness has gradually diminished. 
To address this, we've increased the maximum Family Fame Fund payout to over 100 million Silver, allowing you to accumulate even more Silver just by logging in as your Family grows.  
We've also updated the Family Fame brackets and expanded the maximum achievable Fame, giving Adventurers new milestones to reach as you build your reputation in the world of Black Desert. 
  • Adjusted the daily Family Fame Fund payout, increasing the amount you can receive based on your Family Fame.
    • Following the increase to the Family Fame Fund, Adventurers who claimed their Family Fame Fund after the Jan 8, 2026 (Thu) maintenance will receive the additional amount based on the updated rate.

Guild Boss Improvements

  • Changed all Guild Boss content to now be conducted in the guild-exclusive Expedition Region (instance).
    • You can enter or exit the Expedition Region via the Guild Boss Subjugation tab in the Guild window.
    • When a Guild Master or an authorized guild member enters the designated summon location using the Guild Boss UI, a guild-exclusive Expedition Region will be created.
      • Changed the difficulty selection for summoned Guild Bosses to be available after entering the Expedition Region.

Mount

Krogdalo's Sanctuary

Krogdalo's Sanctuary has been updated to allow you to store up to five horses at once, including Krogdalo. 
Previously, if you had a horse out from the Sanctuary, you couldn't transfer the Sanctuary directly between characters. 
With this update, we've added a retrieval feature: if a horse is out when you move the Sanctuary, it will automatically be returned to the Sanctuary. 
Thank you to all Adventurers who have been waiting for this update. We'll keep working to make your journey even smoother with ongoing quality-of-life improvements.
  • Improved the sanctuary to allow storing up to five horses, regardless of type.
 
  • Improved so that you can now use a Maid/Butler/Attendant to move Krogdalo's Sanctuary into your Inventory, even if another character has already taken out a mount from Krogdalo's Sanctuary.
    • To move Krogdalo's Sanctuary, the mount that was taken out must be called first, and the call range is determined by the flute you have.

e.g., If a horse is taken out 600 away from the location of the "Ranger" who is holding Krogdalo's Sanctuary, then the "Warrior" must have a Celestial Horse Calling Horn to move Krogdalo's Sanctuary via a Maid/Butler/Attendant, since the horse must be called first.
 
With the addition of new feature to Krogdalo's Sanctuary, trade items and treasure items can no longer be stored in a horse's mount inventory to prevent them from being lost.  
We understand that Adventurers who previously used horses for crate trading may be wondering how to continue with trade content going forward.  
You can still use wagons, miniature elephants, and donkeys as before. To minimize any inconvenience for those who relied on horses, we've reduced transport costs to one-tenth of their original value and increased the maximum load capacity for transported goods. 
  • Changed so that Trade Items and Treasures can no longer be stored in a horse's inventory.
    • Other mounts can still store Trade Items and Treasure as before.
 
  • Adjusted the cost of Trade Wagons for Storage Transport to 1/10 of the previous price, and doubled their weight limit.
    • The "Storage Transport Weight Limit +1,500 LT" benefit from Blessing of Kamasylve remains unchanged.


 

Quest & Knowledge

  • Improved the issue where the "[LoML] Emma's Invitation" quest could not progress smoothly after completing the "[The Magnus] Morning's Breeze" quest.


 

System

Recently in Black Desert, we've been seeing more and more outfits that let Adventurers get creative with their looks by toggling their Show Visor settings. Many of you have asked for your visor settings to carry over when switching into combat, so we've made a change.
Now, if you choose to hide your character's visor, that setting will remain active even upon entering combat, breaking away from previous rules and giving you more freedom to customize your character.
We want to thank all our Adventurers for loving and enjoying the wide variety of outfits in Black Desert. We'll keep working to make it even more satisfying to create a character that's truly your own, stylish, beautiful, and unique.   
  • Changed "Show Visor" settings to now be maintained even upon entering combat.
    • Now you can keep your visor hidden even during combat.
      • Updated the tooltip for the "Show Visor" button, accordingly.
    • e.g., [Lahn] Crimson Flame Helmet with "Show Visor" toggled, then entering combat

  • Improved so that you can now discard fish of the selected grade or lower even during manual fishing.
  • This works the same as auto-fishing, and items other than fish are obtained regardless of grade.

  • Applied the following updates to the Account Information page on the official website:
    • Email addresses displayed on the Account Information page are now partially masked for privacy.
    • You will now be prompted to re-enter your password once when accessing Account Details, Linked Accounts, or the Security Center (OTP Settings).
  • Improved the claim pop-up UI for coupons and Twitch Drops.

  • Fixed the issue where mounts of other Adventurers who are playing cutscenes could become attackable in certain situations.
  • Fixed the issue where Adventurer names and HP gauges disappeared in Arena of Solare - Practice Match and the Battle Arena when opponent Defensive Effects were displayed.
  • Fixed the issue where the remaining distance to the destination disappeared after turning off Defensive Effects in settings while sailing with navigation set.
  • Fixed the issue where using Abyssal Well Comms would not function properly if used with the "In Return for Your Help" Knowledge without completing The Magnus main questline.
  • Fixed the issue where the Combat EXP and Skill EXP values for Secret Scroll of Pure Equilibrium were truncated when using the item.
  • Fixed the issue where the X/A button appeared on the Black Stone selection window in the Enhancement Chance UI.
  • Fixed the issue where, in some cases, the snapping would move to the bottom for outfits with multiple options in the Pearl Shop.
  • Fixed the issue where the UI looked misaligned when viewing the simplified End Game screen while owning 42 characters.
  • Improved the Increase Chance window so selecting Black Stone, Crystallized Despair, or Primordial Black Stone automatically moves the cursor to the Enhancement Chance selection window.
  • [PS5] Fixed the issue where, in certain cases, purchased items from the platform store were not delivered to Mail.
  • Fixed awkward snapping in the Skill Add-on UI.
  • Fixed the issue where you were forcibly moved to The Magnus during the quest "[LoML] Defeat", preventing smooth progression.
  • [Dark Knight] Fixed the issue where the Metal Piercing looked awkward in certain customizations.
  • [Wukong] Fixed the issue where the Calpheon's/O'draxxia's/Grána's Prestige Earrings looked unnatural when worn.
  • Fixed incorrect prerequisite quest descriptions for the following quests:

  • Fixed Crow's Trade Voucher not displaying the cooldown timer on its icon.
  • Fixed only one production node displaying when entering Node Management through the Node Manager in Godu Village or Nopsae Byeot County.
  • Fixed some gathering resources disappearing at the Wolf Hills node.
