Farming is a great way to get ingredients or materials for crafting, cooking and even alchemy. All you need to start are contribution points to buy fences, some energy and lots of time.
Fences
To start, you need to rent a fence from different NPC's around the world using contribution points. You can place it to any grassy area as long as its not on a nodewar or a town. You can get your contribution points back when you return the fence.
There are 3 types of fences that you can rent.
[Small Fence] cost 3CP and can hold 4 crops
[Plain Fence] cost 6CP and can hold 7 crops
[Strong Fence] cost 10CP and can hold 10 crops
You can only rent a maximum of 10 Fences. Therefore beginners should get [Small Fence] or [Plain Fence] for the additional 1 crop per per CP ratio but if you have have enough CP to spare you should rent 10 [Strong Fences]. Once you placed your fence you can always check their location on you map.
Where to get seeds?
You can get them from seed vendors or buy them off on the marketplace.
There are 2 factors that you need to consider when farming.
Temperature and Humidity.
Temperature: % of plants growth every 5 minutes
Humidity: % chance of plants getting blighted every 5 minutes
You can go to your world map and click this to check temperature and humidity of certain places.
Farming Yields
This are the amount you can expect from farming
Normal crops can get you from 60 to 80
High-Quality crops can get up to 40 - 60
Special crops yield can get up to 20-40
As of testing for 3 days before maintenance of 7/12/2018 100% or 200% crop growth has no visible effect on the amout of crops yield or breed.
You can also breed the plants when it reach maturity and expect 1 - 3 seeds of same or better quality and a chance to get fruit of X
Blight and its Benifits
Most of the time your plants would get blighted which is shown in your map as your farm indicator turning red. It means some of your crops needs to be pruned or get pest removed from them. If not tended, your crops will grow 2x slower. It cost energy but the higher the farming level the less energy it requires.
Pruning or removing pest gives farming exp. Most of your farming exp would actually be coming from doing this activity. There's also a chance to get Hard Black Crystal Shards and Sharp Black Crystal Shards which can be made into Concentrated Magical Black Stones or sold into the market place for a high price.
Or if you're buzy and dont have time you can just send workers to tend the farm for you, But you dont get farming exp or a chance at those sweet Black Crystal Shards.
In case I havent mention above, you need to be online for your crops to grow.
And you can use fertilizers to make your crops grow faster by 20%. You can make fertilizers by Drying 5 grains to get Inorganic Fertilizer then you can shake 3 Inorganic Fertilizer and 2 Leavening Agent to __create Fertilizer Byproduct.
The difference between the two is the amount it adds on the fertilizer bar, the third kind of fertilzer [Organic Fertilizer] is not worth the required materials so dont make that.
