Why not make an official discord server for BDO SEA. I meant not the unofficial BDOSEA IHA. That one is unofficial and run by 3rd party

Yeah, I'd love for this to happen. An official Discord Server run by Pearl Abyss themselves (or at least the GMs). PA can also send their announcements there and to have their support tickets there, with that in mind, the GMs can also respond to those tickets directly (or other members/moderators can answer it as well).

Just like Kakao Games' Official Discord for Black Desert Online NA/EU.

This invites trouble.

In case you did not know, there was a ruckus months ago due to Kakao banning random people on thier discord because of something they did not agreed with.

Remember, SEA, TH, KR, RU is managed directly by PA. And having a discord directly maintained by PA will invite tons of trouble for them.

In business perspective, there's no point to do this, they generally doesnt care about our opinion or discussions but takes ideas from us without notice.

And in case issues like this occur, it will not look good to PA directly and gets shïtstorm by everyone, media included.

Also, as per experienced; Generally this bypasses "Tickets" as people will just constantly spam the GM directly in the said discord.

Think how much of an annoyance that is and hinders you to properly function and work as supposed to.

If they have planned this, they should have done this earlier without us suggesting this.
Even the forum needs to be updated. 
Start with this first.

A simple integratation of Xenforo/IPV or vBulletin should be easier for them.
Though I know they'll think about security risk but I believe they are more capable of blocking them in both frontend & backend.

First of all, you looking down on manners of SEA players and comparing it against larger group of community. And I confident can say that while we SEA sound salty in game, we do keep manners on discord (e.g IHA discord server and other SEA discord servers)

Well, Global Lab have it own official discord under supervision of GM Velia which is directly under PA. I can say that, players that mostly make a ruckus there are from western side.

We can't let a couple of bad apples to ruin the whole barrel of apples. 

And besides, as @Aliya mentioned earlier, the majority of those "inappropriate behaviours" are from the Western Players.

If ever that this view that the SEA Community, or any other community that are indeed the ones being cancerous then Kakao Games should've just limited the joining process to those who are playing on the NA/EU servers and not invite other community like SEA, MENA, KR, TH, RU, JP, TW, etc. (Not to make the joining process internationally available).

Oh and about "a whole guild getting banned" or "random people getting banned," there was no definite way (as far as I know) to link discord with BDO. It was a mistake on the GM's behalf.

They're still human, humans make mistakes, I admit that I thought they're fools to make such rash decisions about applying sanctions to the wrong people because of clouded judgement and not doing any proper verifications. But they're only fools, not stupid, they can learn from their mistakes.

Global Labs, is well Global Labs.
Of course GMs are able to manage and frequent that platform as its vital for the game's development.

If you do that in an official platform for official live servers, the outcome differs.

You guys are naive and glorifying SEA player's behavior.

Let me see you try blócking people from joining groups & discords using fâke accounts & with Proxïes and let me know how it worked out.

You know there's this thing called "screening" process and "filtering" right?

Bring out forms, ask for their in-game names, cross-reference them out. You have that process on your Facebook group right? Making them join your discord server before accepting their application to your Facebook group? But instead of in-game names, you request their discord IDs. Unless you just discard that form and just accept anyone who joins your Facebook group regardless if they're at your Discord server.

That's why there are "screening" processes and "filtering."

They have their "fake accounts" and "proxies?" Then let them, at least there are "screening" processes and "filters."

The forms and cross-referencing processing will take place before giving them an expiring discord server invite.

As someone who worked on both at the public and private sector, especially the thankless public sector, those government agencies, I know that hardship, the processes, and the neverending "cancerous attitudes" of people, not just from SEA, but internationally.
