I know that you might think that Jojo is just another bird pet, and as an adventurer who rarely grinds for silver, I still find that Jojo is one of the best pet investments in Black Desert Online. I have to admit, I am guilty of the sin of cosmetics, mostly buying pearl items because they look good rather than the function they provide, so I may have collected some pets in the past, ahem Emperor Hawk, that mostly functions like the Classic and Premium pets, but have an appearance evolution whenever they Tier Up (1 - 4).

Nothing against these more "cosmetic" pets, if I have spare Pearls and have nothing more to use them on, I'd still buy them, especially the limited ones. But I find that investing in more functional pets, which are also almost always in the Limited category themselves, you get more value for your Pearls. Below I list my experience with the Jojo pet, and why I think it's one of the best functional pets.

1. The Widest Loot Range

If you do not know yet, this is the primary function of the Jojo pet. Among all of the available pets in Black Desert, the Jojo pet reaches for the farthest loot first, circling it's way in a radius. So you can say that this can be the best pet for silver grinders, not having to worry about whether to go back to area or not, just to make sure you looted your kills. Prior to the Jojo pet being avialble, I used the Cardamum Owl for this function, and currently have both pets grouped for those rare "Light Grinding" sessions.

2. Gives Life Skill Boost

Normally bird type pets provide Knowledge gain boost, which I find most useful when completing the Ecology category on H. But unlike most bird pets, Jojo pet provides a Life Skill Boost. As a Lifeskiller, that is a major plus. Because the pet which is primarily used for grinding, can now be used while Lifeskilling, that means move value for your Pearls.

3. Hostility Detection

First, the best function of the Jojo pet is it's widest loot range, next it provides Lifeskill Boost rather than Knowledge Gain, and now it also provides Hostility Detection. Talk about a more multi-function pet! Hostility detection basically warns you when an enemy/red player or enemy/at war player is within the area. So you can make a decision a bit earlier to either fight or flight.

4. Functional and Cosmetic

Other than the Jojo pets function, which again I reiterate, is one of the best in Black Desert Online, Jojo pet is also cosmetic. Comes in 3 available colors Red/Green (default), Blue and Green/Yellow, each having a different design than the other colors. You get a random color/design each time you "exchange", with the Jojo pet as the main pet, without selecting it's appearance (selecting the current Jojo pet appearance will give you that look even if you were successful or not during Tier up).

5. Best Pearl Value

For all of the Jojo pet's functions, plus the package it is in. This is one of the best values for your hard earned Pearls. Jojo pet is of the few Limited category pets, as it is Limited, they are only available a few times a year. Currenly you can get the Jojo pet in the [Spring Sale 2] Jojo & Friends package, so you get Jojo and 2 OTHER limited pets of your choice in the list, personally I would get the Hedgehog and Polar Bear, for Gathering loot increase, and Max Weight LT increase, respectively.
