Drakania Awakening Saving Skill points

Hi for Drakania Awakening. Since I only wamted to use the awakening skills. And re-skilling is expensive. Should I save up skill points and just try not to level any Main / Basic skills to put into awakening skills? And also Farming skill points at level 49 99.99% is okay until I got enough skill points?
