You can obtain the event item from various Gathering Life Skill activities.
(Lumbering, Fluid Collection, Butchering, Tanning, etc..
Excludes water scooping, shoveling, and milking activities!)
Fishing
You can obtain the event item from anywhere you can cast your fishing rod.
Don’t worry! You’ll fish them up even if you’ve set to discard lower-grade fish while auto-fishing!
