HELLO AND WELCOME !
This is a beginner's guide for CP (Contribution Point)
In this guide we will be going over what CP is , how to obtain it , and how to use it.
NOTE : This guide will only explain the functions of Contribution points. It will not go over how to maximize it or what the best way of using it is.
WHAT ARE CONTRIBUTION POINTS ?
Contribution points , or CP , is a form of currency that can be used to rent some resources or items.
CP is indicated at the top left side of your screen
The right side is your total Contribution points and the left are currently available points.
If you hover your mouse over your CP , it will show you where you have invested your CP if you already have.
You never really spend your CP , you only deposit it to a Node or an npc in exchange of resources.
Meaning , you can take your CP back if you return the item to the NPC , or withdraw your invested CP from a Node.
HOW TO GET CONTRIBUTION POINTS ?
Certain amount of EXP is needed to get each Contribution point.
It is listed as Contribution EXP in quest rewards or item exchange.
There are couple of ways to get CP.
1. QUESTS.
Almost all quests will give you Contribution EXP as a primary reward.
There are some quests in each region that reset everyday. These are called Daily quests.
These quests can be found under the Quests tab (O) in the 'Recurring' Section and have this icon before their title.
There are plenty of Videos on youtube going over how to do these daily quests efficiently to minimize the time taken to do these quests.
2. ITEM EXCHANGE.
Some items can be exchanged for Contribution EXP. \
Two of the most common items are Witch's Delicacy (Cooking Byproduct) and Mysterious Catalyst (Alchemy Byproduct).
Both of these Can be exchanged in Olvia. Right clicking on these items and selecting NPC location will set a path to the exact location of the NPC.
There is also a gathering byproduct which can be exchanged for Contribution EXP , but it is not recommended as it can be used to create Stonetail fodder , which is used for Dream horse awakening and can also get you a good amount of money if you sell it on the Central Market.
FOLLOWING IS THE TABLE FOR THE AMOUNT OF EXP NEEDED FOR EACH LEVEL OF CONTRIBUTION POINTS.

HOW TO USE CONTRIBUTION POINTS ?
There are several different ways to use CP in BDO.
1. NODES.
Nodes or locations on the map that you can invest your CP into in exchange of services available.
Different nodes provide different things like Timber / Meat / Grain / Fibers etc.
If you hover your mouse over a node , it will show you which goods it will provide you.
Clicking on the node will open a menu on the left side of the screen and give an option of Investing Contribution.
After investing your CP into the main node , you need to invest more CP into the Sub-nodes that actually give you the things that you need.
Similar to the main node , clicking on these will open the menu for investing your CP on the left side of the screen.
After you have purchsed the subnodes , clicking on their icon will open up a menu too ask you which Workers to send to these nodes.
Workers are the ones that actually go and create these items for you , you have to buy workers from working lodges in towns , continue reading this guide to know how to get workers.
2. HOUSING.
There are several different ways you can use a house in BDO.
Houses are located in Towns and nodes and can be found after you click on the Town / Node icon.
This is what you will see when you click on a town , and on top right corner of the screen , you will see a menu with different drop downs.
You can find all the available catagories that each house can be used for.
Selecting the catagory you need will highlight the houses with the selected catagory with an arrow.
These houses are generally used for Storage and Lodging.
Purchasing Lodging will give you the ability to Purchase workers for that town.
These workers can be sent to a connected node to produce items available on the node.
Workers can be purchased at Work Supervisor of any town.
You can find Work supervisor of the Nearest town by clicking on the magnifying glass icon on the top right corner of the screen.
NOTE: Workers are exclusive to the Town they are purchased in. For example , if you purchase workers in Heidel , they bring the produced items back to Heidel.
3. RENTING ITEMS FROM NPCs.
Some NPCs will give you an item like a Fence , Flute , drum , hunting matchlock , container , weapons , armors etc.
One of the best use of CP is to rent a Fence and install them in an open area and grow crops.
( I will be going over a bit in depth about life skills in future guides.)
This is where I have installed my fences , exactly north of Loggia farm.
There are 3 types of fences varying in their size.
Each fence costs differently according to their size.
• Small Fence (3 CP)
• Plain Fence (6 CP)
• Stronger Fence (10 CP)
These Fences can be found at the following NPCs in different Regions.
BALENOS TERRITORY
Finto Farm
<Node Management> Martina Finto — Small fence: 3 CP
Toscani Farm
<Farm Vendor> Paolo Toscani — Plain fence: 6 CP
CALPHEON TERRITORY
Capital of Calpheon
<Material Vendor> Geranoa — Strong fence: 10 CP
Dias Farm
<Node Management> Enzo — Small fence: 3 CP
Gianin Farm
<Node Management> Goolie Gianin — Plain fence: 6 CP
Northern Wheat Plantation
<Northern Wheat Plantation Owner> Norma Leight — Plain fence: 6 CP
Trent
<Furniture Dealer> Mayeri — Plain fence: 6 CP
MEDIAH TERRITORY
Abun
<Material Vendor> Difry Hussey — Small fence: 3 CP

<Material Vendor> Lashir — Strong fence: 10 CP
Tarif
<Material Vendor> Finlin — Plain fence: 6 CP
SERENDIA TERRITORY
Costa Farm
<Node Management> Mael Costa — Small fence: 3 CP
Heidel City
<Material Vendor> Flaviano — Strong fence: 10 CP
Moretti Plantation
<Node Management> Mercianne Moretti — Plain fence: 6 CP
NOTE: The OLD MOON MANAGERS in each territory also give a fence equivalent to a STRONG FENCE called the OLD MOON FENCE.
Although it is visually smaller , it fits in the same amount of crops as a strong fence.
