Greetings, Adventurers.

We have verified that some Steam users encountered an error message when trying to open Black Desert via Steam, preventing launch of the game after the Dec 5, 2024 (Thu) maintenance.

This issue occurred because the default install route for both the Black Desert Global Lab and the Asia server via Steam launcher was set the same during the integration of the Black Desert Global Lab login method into the Pearl Abyss Launcher on Nov 29, 2024 (Fri).

If you play on both the Asia server and the Black Desert Global Lab, please refer to the instructions below to start the game.

1. Go to [Launcher Settings - Download] and make sure to turn OFF the "Update automatically" feature.

 

2. Go to the region settings in the launcher, choose the Asia (TH/SEA) region, and start the Update.

- You can track the Update progress via the icon on the launcher's top bar.

 

3. Run “File verification and recovery.”

- Also, run "Verify integrity of game files" in the Steam launcher.

 

4. Start the game.

If you wish to play Black Desert Global Lab, you'll need to delete the current Global Lab files and reinstall to access both the Global Lab and Asia server via Steam.
